What is body awareness?
Once, we were in a tango technique class and we got one of the most
shocking but meaningful instructions from our teacher… we were asked
to “not perform the tango, but instead to let the tango reach us while
dancing”… besides its poetry, this became one of the most interesting
challenge we have ever got, while at the same time amazingly interesting
from the artistic point of view.
Our own development in this topic inspired the full body awareness
approach, where we search to understand the full spectrum of body
movement to then, “shape our movements” into how tango dance looks like.
